Alinda Lewris graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from George Washington University in Washington DC, where she was both an Ada Comstock Notestein Scholar and a Masaka Kawasaki Wittner Scholar.  She continued her executive education at Harvard University Graduate School of Design.  She is an ASID* First-Place Award winning designer and the owner of Lewris & Associates, Incorporated:  A Planning & Design Firm, Established 1984.

In 2002, Ms. Lewris merged her design firm with her consulting business.  As founder, she also established the International Association of Protocol Consultants®/Officers™ (IAPC).  She has
worked closely with acclaimed authors Roger E. Axtell, Letitia Baldrige, Dr. P.M. Forni (Johns Hopkins University), Peggy Post and Peter Post (Directors, The Emily Post Institute) --- acknowledged experts on civility, country-specific do's & taboos, etiquette, and international protocol.  Lewris was the primary figure in bringing together for leadership conferences executives from all over the world, including professionals from Fortune 500 Companies, the United Nations, the U.S. Department of State, and the executive offices of The White House.

Alinda Lewris served as IAPC President and Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2008.  From 2008 to the present, she remains actively involved as IAPC Executive Director.  It was under her leadership that IAPC earned the designation "official protocol and continuing education advisors to the Joint Military Attaché School, U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency" and featured in the U.S. Naval Institute's "SERVICE ETIQUETTE, 5th Edition" as the preferred platform for coaching and executive education."
